Phineas Newborn III

Born in Los Angeles, California into family of pioneering Jazz musicians, Phineas Newborn III carries on the musical legacy handed down form his father (Phineas Newborn Jr.) and grandfather (Phineas Newborn Sr.).  

A singer, dancer, actor and choreographer as well as a composer and writer Phineas has worked for and with such stars as Kathleen Turner, Danny Devito, Michael Douglas, Van Johnson, James Brown, Gladys Knight , Paula Abdul, Lenny Kravitz, Prince, Seal, Sir Elton John and a host other celebrities.

His theatre credits include feature roles in "Aida", "Ragtime", "Cats", "A Chorus Line" (with Michael Bennett) , among countless others.  He has performed vocally with Gladys Knight and on the Grammy award winning, original cast recording of "Aida".

Phineas has made various television and film appearances including:  "Breakin'", "Congo", "Girls Just Wanna Have Fun", "Fame" the 69th Academy Awards" and more...

Respected as a choreographer and a dance educator throughout the world.  Phineas has taught some of America's premiere Dancers and choreographers such as: Brian Freedman (Brittany Spears, "So You Think You Can Dance") Shawnette Heard (Janet Jackson), Andre Fuentes (Brittany's Womanizer Video & Prince) & Travis Payne (Michael Jackson's last choreographer) to name a few.

Phineas is also planning to bring Paulo Coehlo's international best selling novel "The Alchemist" as a musical adaptation to Broadway.

Phineas is ready to pass on all his knowledge of the arts to aspiring students who want to learn just for the fun of it or have a desire to have a professional career.

Categories:

1) Children’s class Group A (5 – 8yrs)

2) Children’s class Group B (9 – 12yrs)

3) Teen Jazz & Musical Theater class (13 – 17yrs)

4) Teen Vocal Performance class

5) Adult Jazz and Musical Theater class  (18yrs and above)

6) Adult Vocal Performance class

Each categories limited to 30 persons.

Fees:

1) Children’s class (A/B)                                RM350per person

2) Teen Jazz & Musical Theater class              RM400per person

3) Teen Vocal Performance class                    RM400per person

4) Adult Jazz and Musical Theater class          RM400per person

5) Adult Vocal Performance class                   RM400per person

·        Fees included light meal, performance costume, make over and show ticket for two persons.

·        For teen and adult, person who is doing both the dance and the voice class shall get a rebate of RM200 of the total fees paid.
